Day and Multi-day Pass
- I’ve lost my ski pass, can I request a duplicate?
Grandvalira Resorts does not issue duplicate ski passes, but you can buy a loss insurance at the resort’s ticket offices that allows you to obtain a free duplicate of your pass in case of loss. The cost is 1,75€ per day/person.
If you purchase the accident insurance on the slopes, it already includes loss coverage. - My child is young enough to qualify for a free pass. Do they need a pass to access the slopes?Although the pass is free, the child must have it in order to be able to access the slopes. Free passes can only be acquired at the ticket offices, as you will be required to show proof of your child’s age.
- At what age do children require a pass?
A pass must be purchased for all children born in 2019 or earlier (regardless of the day or month).
- Are half-day passes available?Yes, we offer afternoon passes. This pass can be used from 1:00 pm until the slopes close.
- How far in advance do I need to make my online purchases for Grandvalira?The pass prices are dynamic and vary according to demand and how far in advance you purchase them. If you know the dates of your visit, we recommend booking your passes in advance make sure you get the best price.
- Where can I obtain the passes and services I’ve purchased?You can get them by presenting your voucher at any of our ticket offices in the resort’s seven sectors, or at the express ticket machines located at Illa Carlemany, Funicamp, El Tarter, Soldeu, Grau Roig and Pas de la Casa.
- Is there a special pass for beginners?
Yes, the beginner’s pass is on sale at our ticket offices and on our website. This pass grants access to certain facilities (lifts) at each of the sectors in our resort. You can find more information on our website.
- Can I access the slopes if I don't ski?Yes, there are pedestrian passes for the Encamp, Canillo, El Tarter and Soldeu sectors that include two ascents and two descents on the same day. This will allow you to visit our restaurants and take part in some of the adventure activities, or simply enjoy the views.
Ski Insurance
- What should I do if I have an accident on the slopes?If you have an accident, you must go to the resort’s medical centre and present your insured pass. If you need further assistance, call the following number to request authorisation: +(376) 88 16 46. Please note: reimbursement will not be provided for services that are not authorised by the insurer.
- Why is it important to take out ski insurance?Like any other activity, skiing and snowboarding always entail a certain amount of risk, and this risk should not be ignored. That is why it is important to take out ski insurance.
- Does the pass price include insurance covering accidents on the slopes?No, but ski insurance can be taken out via our website when you purchase the pass. It can also be taken out at the ticket offices. It is important to bear in mind that once a pass has been used, insurance can no longer be added to it.
Adventure activities
- Can I organise my own snowshoeing excursion?To access the marked routes within the area encompassing the ski resorts, you must have a mountain pass. For more information, please click on the following link .
- Do I need a pass for the adventure activities?In the El Tarter and Canillo sectors you must have a valid ski or pedestrian pass for the day on which you access the activities area. If you purchase one of our activity packages, the pass is included. In the Grau Roig sector, the activity centre is located in the car park at Cubil; consequently, you do not need a pass.
- How many people can do the mushing activity?The sleds can accommodate two people. Depending on the option you choose, they can be driven by a guide or by you. Bear in mind that the price for the activity is per person, and if you are a family with children you will be assigned to your sleds on the day.
- At what age can I drive a snowmobile?You must be at least 18, although you do not need a driving licence. There are no age limits for passengers.
- Do the adventure activities include insurance?No, the price of the activities does not include insurance. However, you can take out insurance during the purchase process, or at our activity centres. This insurance only covers the activities that take place within the ski area.
- Where are the activity centres located?Canillo: you will see the activity centre when you exit the cable car.
El Tarter: when you exit the cable car, take the escalator located in front of you and to the right. Once you have travelled down, you will need to walk for around 300 metres, passing in front of the ski school and the restaurants. The refuge you will come to a little further on is the meeting point.
Grau Roig: follow the detour to Grau Roig indicated on the road signs, making sure you keep right. Keep going past the first large car park on your left, and continue along the same road. After crossing the bridge you will come to a second car park containing a yurt (tent), with a flag that identifies it as the Roc Roi activity centre. - Where can I see the available times for my activity?
You can select your chosen time for the activity during the step prior to completing the booking.
- What other activities can I do, apart from skiing and snowboarding?At Grandvalira we offer a wide range of adventure activities, such as mushing, snowmobiles, snowshoeing and zip-lining. For more information and bookings, please visit the activities section .
- Can I bring my dog on my snowshoeing excursion or ski mountaineering ?In accordance with the law concerning mountain resorts, access to the mountain circuits and the slopes with dogs and pets is prohibited.
