Illa Carlemany shopping centre is located in the heart of Escaldes-Engordany. With a surface area of 50,000 m2, the building is very unique and was designed by the architect Pere Aixàs. The green colour of the copper plates covering the façade, as well as the building’s shape, have turned the structure into an icon of Andorra’s best known shopping area: Meritxell and Carlemany avenues.
