Guided Experiences

Discover the other side of Grandvalira accompanied by one of our mountain guides. These are themed excursions where you can learn more about the wildlife, flora, and natural environment of the Pyrenees.

Activities can be done in a group or privately and are adapted to the level and physical condition of each participant.

Services include routes in Andorra and excursions to destinations outside the country. Activities such as climbing in designated areas, via ferrata adapted to the client’s level, orientation days, river and lake fishing, and excursions to Pessons with the option to enjoy mountain gastronomy at Grandvalira’s summer restaurants are also offered.

4x4 Bus Excursions to Pessons Lake

Pessons Lake is the starting point for multiple routes and activities. We bring you to some of the best hiking trails to enjoy a unique landscape on the 4x4 bus from Grau Roig.

Discover the high mountain scenery and the cultural and historical heritage with a visit to the Pessons cirque and its numerous lakes, the orris of Encenrera and Forcat pond, and the Madriu-Perafita-Claror valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Finally, you can relax on the terrace of the Refugi Llac de Pessons bar-restaurant while enjoying magnificent views.

The bus service runs from July 11 to August 30. 

4x4 Bus Schedule and Info

Ascent schedule: every hour, from 9 am to 3 pm.

Descent schedule: every hour, from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm and from 4 pm to 5 pm. The last ascent is at 4:30 pm.

4x4 bus tickets can be purchased at the Grau Roig shop or directly on the bus if the shop is closed.

To make a reservation:

The bus departure point is located in front of the main Grau Roig building (Ski School).

The bus is not wheelchair accessible. If necessary, assistance will be required to board the bus with the wheelchair folded.

The service is subject to a fee for children aged 6 and over. Children under 6 travel free of charge.

Free 4x4 bus service for 2025–2026 season pass holders.

Orri d'Encenrera Excursion

Discover what life was like for mountain shepherds through a unique participatory experience at the Orri d'Ensenrera. At more than 2,000 metres above sea level, you will travel back in time to discover the world of the orris, transhumance and the traditions that shaped Andorra's history.

Accompanied by a specialised guide, you will step into the shoes of a group of shepherds to understand how mountain pastures were used, how sheep flocks were cared for and how cheese was produced during the summer months.

An activity that allows you to discover a cultural and natural heritage that has shaped the country's landscape, economy and identity for centuries.

Meeting point:
Pessons Restaurant. It can be reached on foot via the Pessons trail or by 4x4 bus (paid service).

The excursions take place every day at two different times:

  • 1 hour (20 minutes to walk up to and back down from the restaurant, and approximately 40 minutes for the visit).

  • To take part in the activity:
    • Wear suitable mountain footwear.
    • Bring water to stay hydrated during the activity.
    • The use of sunscreen is recommended.
    • Arriving in advance is recommended.
