The Soldeu, El Tarter, Canillo and Encamp sectors will close earilen on Monday 10th April, which will be the last day of the season
Ordino Arcalís will also remain open with the 70% of the slopes and snow in good conditions thanks to the latest snowfalls
The Soldeu, El Tarter, Canillo and Encamp sectors of Grandvalira will bring forward the closure of the season and on Monday 10 April will be the last day. The Pas de la Casa and Grau Roig sectors will remain open until Sunday 16 April. The decision has been taken due to the lack of snow caused by the high temperatures of the last few weeks, which have meant that the resort is unable to offer the desired conditions to customers in these areas.
From 8 April, the ski link between the Soldeu and Grau Roig sectors will be closed due to the lack of snow in the Pla de les Pedres area. The connection between the sectors will be facilitated by a bus service that will link the village of Canillo and Grau Roig with the usual stops. Skiers are advised to stay in their sector of origin to avoid transfers. The price of the Grandvalira day ski pass will be reduced to 45 euros.
From 9 April, the ski link from Canillo to the other sectors will be closed for the same reasons. In the same way, skiers are advised to stay in the sector of origin to avoid transfers, or to make use of the free bus service.
The number of bookings for this week has prompted Grandvalira to devote all its efforts and terrain equipment to the Pas de la Casa and Grau Roig sectors where, thanks to the weekend's snowfall and a slight drop in temperatures, the snow will remain in good condition until 16 April.
Grandvalira will start a free bus service for customers with any Grandvalira Resorts ski pass, which will allow them to travel between the different sectors, from the Funicamp to the Grau Roig car park, with the usual stops.
Ordino Arcalís is also expected to remain open until 16 April due to the good conditions it is currently offering. With the snowfall over the weekend and the slight drop in temperatures, the Ordino resort has 70% of its ski area open with snow thicknesses of up to 80 cm.
