Grandvalira Resorts continues to provide a substantial number of skiable kilometres for this weekend, thanks to the excellent work of the ground teams and the extensive snowmaking network within the domains. Grandvalira Resorts boasts more than 180 km of available slopes, currently the widest offering in the Pyrenees. Of these, 116 km belong to Grandvalira, featuring 88 open slopes, all sectors interconnected, 67 operational lifts, and snow depths of up to 70 centimetres. Pal Arinsal currently offers 40 km of skiable terrain, snow depths of up to 60 centimetres, and 83% of operational lifts, including the cable car linking the two sectors, as well as the new Port Negre de Arinsal chairlift, the main novelty of the season. Finally, Ordino Arcalís has 75% of its slopes open and 80% of lifts operational, with snow depths of up to 100 centimetres.

The favourable conditions on the slopes, allowing for skiing practice and enjoyment, combined with the weather forecast predicting a weekend of mild temperatures with the sun as the main feature, and live music on the various terraces within the domains, will make the Andorran slopes the perfect plan for this weekend.

Music, good vibes, and day and night plans at the resorts

For the second consecutive weekend, the good weather invites everyone to enjoy the idyllic atmosphere of the terraces at the resorts. Multiple activations are planned to further liven up these spaces, with DJs entertaining the mornings, afternoons, and evenings on the terraces of Grandvalira, Pal Arinsal, and Ordino Arcalís venues, enhancing the moments of relaxation. The Cala Bassa Costa Rodona in Pas de la Casa promises another fantastic après-ski afternoon with the second Brugal party of the season, featuring visually engaging live performances by various instrumental musicians with a DJ base, such as electronic violinists, percussionists, and singers in pure Ibiza style. This Saturday, the rhythm will revolve around the electronic saxophone.

The IQOS Terrace in the Soldeu sector of Grandvalira will host a live violin experience by Noemí this Saturday from 12 pm to 4 pm, accompanied by DJ Richy Vuelcom. Also, Racó de Solanelles in the Encamp sector has a loaded agenda with great DJs setting the pace every day on its spectacular terrace from 12 pm to 4 pm. This Friday, February 2, will feature Cami Álvarez, Saturday 3 will be energized by Andro Colors, and Sunday's terrace will be animated by Ciretek. Other terraces in Grandvalira that also promise a great atmosphere throughout the skiing day include In The Snow Veuve Clicquot (El Tarter), Vermuteria Petroni (Soldeu), Refugio de Pessons (Grau Roig), or San Miguel Terrace (Pas de la Casa), among many others. Regarding Pal Arinsal, a great atmosphere can be experienced on the terraces of Niu, Chiringuito, or Coll de la Botella, while in Ordino Arcalís, La Coma, Planells, or Refugio de les Portelles terraces stand out, among others.

High-altitude dinners under the stars

As the sun sets, the restaurants at the resorts prepare to showcase the quieter and more intimate version of the Andorran mountains with dinners under the stars. In Grandvalira, this option is available at the bulthaup Grau Roig, Brasería Piolet, and Vodka Bar in the Grau Roig sector, as well as the Wine & Meat Bar by Jean Leon in Soldeu. At the 3 Estanys restaurant, you can dine on February 13, while at Pulka, it will be possible every Saturday in February. L’Abarset's restaurant offers its evening menu every day except Saturdays, and it's essential to make reservations for these options. Pal Arinsal, a “Starlight” destination, will open Pla de la Cot for a high-altitude gastronomic experience in the moonlight, accessible by snowcat, mountain skis, or snowshoes. The Pal restaurant plans to open every Saturday in February, in addition to February 9 and March 13.

The Ordino Arcalís station, the wildest of the resorts, also opens the doors of its most iconic restaurant, La Coma, for magical dinners amidst the mountains, for which reservations are also necessary. To complete the experience at Grandvalira Resorts, the unique accommodations of Epic Andorra, such as Domo Lodge or Cabana Piolet, offer the perfect opportunity to experience mountain glamour surrounded by luxury and warmth in a space with all amenities and the exclusivity of being the only one. A more traditional yet equally welcoming option is the Refugio de Sorteny, which also offers dinners.

Activities and fun beyond skiing

Grandvalira offers a new activity exclusively suitable for the boldest and most adventurous: Speedfly, a combination of skiing and paragliding. The experience involves a 400 m vertical jump with a paraglider and skiing landing, accompanied by an instructor, allowing participants to soar over the slopes of El Tarter.

For those not daring enough to try Speedfly, there's also the opportunity to experience the sensation of flying on the Mon(t) Magic zipline in Canillo, where other major attractions include the Màgic Gliss, a mountain slide with over half a kilometre of descent.

Other experiences that allow you to discover the spectacular natural surroundings of the Andorran mountains include mushing (sleds pulled by dogs), snowmobile excursions, or snowshoe and mountain ski outings across the three stations. Noteworthy is the visit to the Tristaina Solar Viewpoint in Ordino Arcalís, which can be done accompanied by experienced Grandvalira Mountain Guides, who will share their mountain knowledge. Pal Arinsal is also a paradise for the little ones with its sled track, Kid’s Zip and Big Zip ziplines, and the Big Airbag jump.

The Red Bull Home Run lands in the El Tarter sector

One of the most entertaining events of the season will take place this weekend in the El Tarter sector of Grandvalira: the Red Bull Home Run. This Saturday, starting at 5:30 p.m., the starting shot will be fired for this unique race that challenges participants to be both creative and fast. The race involves being the first to descend from point A to point B in the resort. However, before the race begins, participants will leave their skis or boards 60 meters from the starting line. When the countdown ends, riders must sprint to retrieve their equipment, descend the slope, and be the first to reach the finish line, choosing the line they prefer.

The fastest skiers and snowboarders, as well as the best costumes, will be rewarded in the race. Registrations can be made online or on the day of the event at the El Tarter cable car building. After the race, an afterparty is planned at L’Abarset.

Joseph Capriati and Sara de Araujo, headliners at L’Abarset

L’Abarset continues for another week with an impressive line-up, featuring two powerhouse names to set the rhythm and ensure another week of the best après-ski party. This Saturday, the renowned Italian producer and DJ, Joseph Capriati, lands at the venue in the El Tarter sector, while on Friday, the Portuguese artist based in Ibiza, Sara de Araujo, takes control of the decks at L’Abarset. On Saturday, a new edition of The Peak will take place, the afterparty with special guests, extending the celebration inside the venue until 2 a.m., and it debuted with great success last Saturday.

Less than 10 days to Soldeu 2024 Women's Alpine Skiing World Cup

Simultaneously with all these offerings, Grandvalira is also finalizing the details for one of the major events of the winter: the 2024 Soldeu Women's Alpine Skiing World Cup. In less than 10 days, the Avet slope, currently in excellent condition, will become the global epicentre of skiing for two days to welcome the world's best female skiers in the giant slalom and slalom disciplines. Tickets to attend and experience the spectacle live from the stands can be purchased on the official website of the 2024 Soldeu World Cup.
