Grandvalira, the 2nd ski resort of Europe with the most skiable kilometres this weekend

Grandvalira confirms the opening of the whole domain and the connexion between the six sectors of the ski resort, thus meaning a total of 180 kilometres of slopes opened

The intense snowfall of Tuesday night has left 60 cm of powder snow in the domain that accumulates thicknesses until 1 meter in the highest levels

 

Grandvalira continues expansion of its skiable areas. This weekend, Grandvalira will be the second ski resort of Europe with the most kilometres of slopes at the disposition of its visitors, according to the website www.skiinfo.es. After the snowfalls of the last days, the Andorran domain will open until 180 kilometres of skiable extension.      

The 6 sectors of the ski resort (Encamp, Canillo, El Tarter, Soldeu, Grau Roig and Pas de la Casa) will be opened for the skiers and connected to one another at the slopes. Grandvalira’s team continues to work to guarantee the expansion of the number of skiable kilometres and available slopes.

During the last night, the ski resort received an intense snowfall that left 60 cm of powder snow. This snowfall, combined with the ones of the last days and the work realized by the technical field team, has made that currently Grandvalira enjoys 90 cm and 1 meter of thickness in the highest levels of the ski resort.    

One of the Andorran après-ski reference places, l’Abarset, which has already inaugurated the 14/15 season the last week, will continue to offer its program of activities and performances to add rhythm and music during the last hours of the ski day. Furthermore, this weekend, the Snow experience returns and takes place at the Pas de la Casa chairlift from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.; the whole Grandvalira skiers will be able to try ski equipment of the most selective brands.
