Ordino Arcalís and Grandvalira are once again joining the celebration of Meritxell Day, next 8 September
, with a day that will allow visitors to enjoy free of charge two of Andorra’s mountain attractions: the Tristaina Solar Lookout, in Ordino Arcalís, and the Funicamp, in Grandvalira’s Encamp sector.
In the case of Ordino Arcalís, the initiative is reaching its fifth edition
this year and will keep the same format as in recent years. People who have a reservation for a meal at any establishment in the parish of Ordino next Tuesday the 8th will be able to access the Tristaina gondola lift and the Creussans chairlift free of charge to reach the Tristaina Solar Lookout. p>
Once the reservation has been made, the establishment itself will inform the resort of the name
and the number of people. Visitors must pick up their invitations at the Hortell ticket offices. The gondola lift timetable will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the chairlift from 8:45 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. You will need to arrive at the ticket offices before 3 p.m. to collect the invitations, as the last ascent scheduled will be at 3:30 p.m.
As for the Funicamp, visitors will once again be able
to access it free of charge throughout Meritxell Day, which will be the last day the Encamp lift is in operation this summer. Thus, those who want to take advantage of the last day of the Funicamp’s summer season will be able to do so for free and discover the new Encamp bear sculpture ‘Petjades Enlairades’, Grandvalira’s e-bike routes, or the excellent cuisine at the El Racó de Solanelles restaurant, among other options.
The Funicamp will be the first to close the summer season
at Grandvalira Resorts. The rest of Grandvalira’s activities will remain open until 13 September, except for the Soldeu Golf course, which will remain open until 27 September, while the Pal Arinsal Bike Park will continue opening at weekends until 12 October. Access to the Tristaina Solar Lookout in Ordino Arcalís will remain in operation until 1 November.
