At Grandvalira, we strive to offer an accessible and inclusive snow experience for everyone. The sectors of Encamp, Grau Roig and Pas de la Casa feature infrastructures and services adapted for skiers with reduced mobility or other functional diversities, ensuring comfort, safety, and independence during their stay at the resort.
These three sectors offer accessible ski lifts for users with reduced mobility. The Funicamp cable car, in Encamp, is one of the main entry points and is authorized for adaptive use.
Detachable and fixed chairlifts are the most recommended, as they allow safer boarding and disembarking. Lift staff can assist and slow down the system when necessary. It’s advisable to coordinate with staff in advance depending on the user’s needs.
Drag lifts are not recommended due to their technical difficulty, especially for sit-ski users.
Encamp, Grau Roig and Pas de la Casa offer ideal conditions for adaptive skiing. Green and blue slopes are most suitable, especially beginner areas with easier gradients.
Some areas may require additional momentum due to flat terrain. It is highly recommended to ski with a companion, and mandatory for blind users or sit-skiers.
Grandvalira’s Ski School offers instructors trained in adaptive skiing. Lessons are tailored to each individual, from first-timers to advanced levels. To ensure availability of adaptive equipment like monoski, dualski and stabilizers, we recommend contacting the school in advance.
In addition to skiing, it is possible to book accessible adventure experiences, including:
Each sector offers a wide range of accessible restaurants where visitors can enter with sit-ski or adaptive gear. Facilities include:
