2023–2024 Opening conditions season

Update: 4/12/2023 3 pm

Ordino Arcalís and the Pas de la Casa sector of Grandvalira will open partially tomorrow, Tuesday, December 5.

Grandvalira will have 53 km of skiable terrain operational starting this Wednesday, December 6, with the opening of the rest of the sectors.

Pal Arinsal will open on Wednesday with 40% of the slopes and 71% of the ski lifts, and Ordino Arcalís will also expand the skiable area to 54% of its kilometers of slopes and 50% of the facilities.

Grandvalira Resorts stations will offer 91 skiable kilometers during the Puríssima holiday. The precipitation last Friday and the low temperatures in recent days, which have facilitated the production of snow, along with the exhaustive work of the technical teams on the ground, have allowed the Andorran domains to confirm the opening for this Tuesday, December 5. Thus, tomorrow Ordino Arcalís and the Pas de la Casa sector of Grandvalira will open partially, while from this Wednesday, December 6, the offer will be expanded with the start-up of the rest of the sectors and the Pal Arinsal station.

The Pas de la Casa sector of Grandvalira will kick off the season tomorrow with the start-up of the TSD4 Pas de la Casa, providing access to the Directa slope. For this first day of partial opening, there will be a special price of the day pass for 36 euros, which can only be purchased at the sector's ticket offices. From Wednesday, the skiable area will be expanded with the opening of the Soldeu, El Tarter, Canillo, Grau Roig, and Encamp sectors of Grandvalira. In total, the station will offer 53 skiable kilometers, with 35 slopes and 34 operational ski lifts, including the cable cars of Soldeu, El Tarter, Canillo, and the Funicamp. The connection between the sectors can be made by a bus line that the station will provide free of charge for all those who have any type of Grandvalira pass. The Canillo sector will have a limited capacity of 500 beginner skiers as well as visitors who want to enjoy the Mon(t) Magic family park. The day pass will have a special price of 59 euros from Wednesday and can be purchased at both ticket offices and online channels of Grandvalira, where information on the prices of different passes will be updated.

Pal Arinsal will open on Wednesday with 40% of the slopes and 71% of the facilities, totaling 19 slopes and 22 ski lifts. In the Pal sector, skiing will be possible from Caubella to Coll de la Botella, passing through the Cubil area, while in Arinsal, it will be available from the base of the sector to the Les Fonts area. Therefore, during the first days, the connection between the two sectors via the cable car will not be operational, and it can be done with the bus line that will be provided between La Massana and Arinsal, which will be free with any Grandvalira Resorts pass. The day pass for Pal Arinsal in these first days will have a reduced price of 39 euros and can be purchased at both ticket offices and online channels of the stations.

Finally, Ordino Arcalís will reopen La Coma tomorrow with the detachable six-seat chairlift, the Tristaina Gondola, and the Orris ski lift, while on Wednesday, five more ski lifts will come into operation, providing access to eight new slopes. In total, the Ordino station will have 54% of its skiable kilometers operational, as well as 50% of the facilities. The price of the day pass for tomorrow will remain at 30 euros and can only be purchased at the ticket offices, while on Wednesday, it will increase to 39 euros and can also be purchased through the online channels of Grandvalira Resorts. It is worth noting that all Grandvalira Resorts stations will have ski and snowboard schools operational, as well as beginner areas in different sectors and nurseries.
