The Andorran Cande Moreno sets the best time in the Downhill training sessions of the Grandvalira Europa Cup Finals

The Andorran came in with a time of 1:15.08, a difference of 0.89 over second place, the Austrian Sabrina Maier, with the third fastest time Anouck Errard of France

 

First day of the Alpine Skiing Europa Cup Finals on the Àliga course in the El Tarter sector of Grandvalira. The Andorran Cande Moreno came in with the best time in downhill training clocking 1:15.08, followed by the Austrian Sabrina Maier (+0.89) and Anouck Errard (+1.08) of France.

The Andorran was visibly very happy with the result, stating that training sessions are always important in order to have the first feel of the course, and taking into account that it was not possible for her to train during the previous days. As such, she acknowledged that she “had very good feelings about it, although the visibility was not perfect.” And she added: “I felt very comfortable, although I think I can still fine-tune it in some parts of the course.”

The Andorran interest in the official downhill training sessions finished with 49th place for Jordina Caminal, and with Jessica Núñez in 59th. Anna Esteve of Spain finished in 40th place.
