The Grandvalira Resorts ski mountains will open exclusively for Andorra residents on 2 January, to officially begin the new 2020-2021 winter season. This opening date for Grandvalira and Ordino Arcalís has been agreed upon with Ski Andorra and government officials from the Principality of Andorra, and it will be held to as long as health and mobility conditions permit.

On Saturday, 2 January and Sunday, 3 January, skiers who live in Andorra will get free access to the Grandvalira Resorts ski mountains. Starting Monday, 4 January there will be a special price of 20 euros per person per day, which will last at least until 8 January.

HOW TO SKI FOR FREE ON 2 AND 3 JANUARY

Skiers must have the Resident Season Pass or book the Ski Pass Plus + Resident online, and they will have to submit documentation certifying that they live in Andorra.

The free ski days on 2 and 3 January will not be counted as days of skiing against the Season Pass or the Ski Pass Plus +.

Grandvalira Resorts is launching a new website for purchasing the Season Pass and the Ski Pass Plus +. The web page lets users top up their passes online using their pass from last season, meaning customers can completely avoid going to the ticket offices.

HOW THE SKI PASS PLUS + WORKS

Like all ski passes, the Ski Pass Plus + is personal and non-transferable and works like an electronic toll collection system on a motorway. You only need to buy the pass once online and then pick it up at the ticket offices, and it is connected to the credit card you provided at purchase. From that point on, you no longer have to go to the ticket offices, as each day of skiing will be automatically charged the first time you board a lift on that day.

On 2 and 3 January skiing will be free for all Andorra residents, so the days of skiing will not be charged against ski passes.

This ski pass is valid for the entire 2020-21 season and provides unlimited access to all of Grandvalira and Ordino Arcalís for the rest of the winter. This is a more flexible and economical way to ski, as when the partial opening period is over the Ski Pass Plus will give skiers a 15% discount on the price of a day pass from the second day of use in the same resort.

With your Ski Pass Plus +, you'll also get a 5% discount on some of the ski services at Grandvalira and Ordino Arcalís (Ski and Snowboard School, Restaurants, Rentals and Shop). To get the discount, you will have to present your Ski Pass Plus + when using these services.

This product can only be purchased at the Grandvalira Resorts web page: https://plus.grandvalira.com

SEASON PASS, COVID-19 GUARANTEE

Given the current situation, the promotional price period has been extended to cover the entire 2020-21 season for skiers who purchase the Season Pass.

Furthermore, there is a guarantee in case the resort has to close early because of COVID-19. If the ski pass has not been used, Grandvalira Resorts will refund the full amount. All the terms and conditions can be viewed www.grandvalira.com and www.ordinoarcalis.com.

SAFE RESORTS CERTIFICATIONS

Given the worldwide health emergency, Grandvalira and Ordino Arcalís have focused their efforts on ensuring they are safe and free from COVID-19. To that end, Grandvalira has obtained a double certification as a COVID-19 safe space: the Global Safe Site seal from Bureau Veritas and the Biological Risk Control from OCA Global. Ordino Arcalís has had the Global Safe Site seal from Bureau Veritas since the summer.

These two certifications guarantee that prevention and control protocols that reduce the risks of infection caused by biological agents, such as COVID-19, are correctly applied, to the greatest extent possible.
