The new Early Booking promotional period, which will be open until 30 September, is particularly interesting for families, as they can accumulate discounts up to 35%.
The new season guarantee ensures the return of money for ski days that have not been redeemed in the case of early closure by Coronavirus.
Andorra la Vella, 7 July 2020. Grandvalira and Ordino are offering the Season Pass 2020-2021 from July 7 on https://www.grandvalira.com/forfait-de-temporada. The Grandvalira resorts plan to open from December 4 to April 11, depending on snow conditions. The Season Pass offers users free access to the Grandvalira and Ordino Arcalís ski areas for 129 days, including 19 weekends, which does not exclude the possibility of opening the resorts earlier and extending the season if conditions are favourable.
The prices of the Season Pass are unchanged and a new promotional sales period called Early Booking is created, which gives the opportunity to purchase the Grandvalira Season Pass at the price of 299.25 € for loyal customers resident in Andorra and 589.95 € for loyal customers who are not residents of the Principality. Advance booking will be available from 7 July to 30 September for the general public exclusively online.
From October 1st, the promotional period will be open and users will be able to purchase the package at a price of 350 € for residents and 690 € for non-residents of Andorra.
In the case of Ordino Arcalís, the Season Pass for loyal customers residing in Andorra will cost 161.10 € and 388.80 € for loyal customers not residing in the Principality. Advance booking will also be available on ordinoarcalis.com until 30 September. From October 1st, the price of the package will be €170.05 for residents and €458.85 for non-residents of Andorra.
The Season Pass for a new Grandvalira customer will cost €665.50 during the early booking period, €690 during the promotional period and €863 from 9 December onwards.
In the case of the Season Pass for Ordino Arcalís, the prices for a new customer will also be the same as for the 2019-20 season. In addition, Grandvalira Resorts' packages offer the possibility of skiing freely in Ordino Arcalís and in a total of 10 resorts in Europe, Asia and South America, in addition to the incorporation of new destinations currently under negotiation.
The Ordino Arcalís Season Pass will allow non-resident guests to ski for 4 days in Grandvalira and 2 days for residents of the Principality.
In addition, Season Pass customers who have not used their invitation during the 2019-2020 season will be able to invite a friend during the winter of 2020-2021.
As a novelty, to improve the customer experience and in an initiative of responsibility in the preservation and care of the environment, the Grandvalira resort has incorporated the rechargeable and reusable Season Pass, which allows users to renew their pass by logging on the code of the card they served during the 2019-20 season at https://www.grandvalira.com/forfait-de-temporada, reload it and go directly to ski from December 4 without going through the ticket office.
What is Early Booking?
With the aim of offering maximum peace and flexibility to customers, Grandvalira Resorts is creating a new promotional period that puts the Grandvalira Season Pass on sale as never before, starting on the 7th of July. It offers an additional 10% discount to all its loyal customers and allows them to save up to 25% on the general price. All loyal customers who renew their season pass receive an additional 10% compensation for the weeks they were unable to enjoy the previous season due to the forced closure caused by COVID-19. With the family packs, a loyal Grandvalira customer family consisting of two adults and two children can save up to €637.75 compared to the general price, with a cost per customer-child family unit of €308.75.
One of the main advantages of the early booking period for Grandvalira Resorts users is the refund of the amount you paid in case of a new forced closure due to coronavirus thanks to the new season guarantee. In addition, the possibility of payment in 3 installments and new dates means that the Season Pass will be paid on the first day of the season. During the early booking period, all categories and types of Season Packages can be purchased both in Grandvalira and Ordino Arcalís.
What is the season guarantee?
This coverage is included in all Grandvalira and Ordino Arcalís season passes and guarantees that in the case of forced closure of the resort due to COVID-19 during the 2020-2021 season, Grandvalira resorts will apply a refund for unused ski days. In this way, a reimbursement would be made for customers who bought during the Early Booking period and who request it, and a reimbursement of the amount of a voucher valid for the following season for customers who buy during the promotion period or at the general rate.
The season guarantee establishes a depreciation schedule with the repayment percentage to be applied based on the date of a hypothetical early closing.
As an example, a season pass for adult non-residents in Andorra is amortized in 13 days of skiing and if there is an early closure due to coronavirus in December, the reimbursement would be 100% of the value of the unamortized days, 80% if it is in January, 50% in February and 15% in March.
The discount percentage will be applied taking into account the value of the ski days according to the daily pass in each of the product types.
Season passes that have been amortized will be excluded from any compensation, regardless of the closing date. In the event that the pass has not been used, Grandvalira Resorts undertakes to return the full amount.
The Season Pass Guarantee was born out of Grandvalira Resorts' desire to make the purchase of its Season Pass as easy as possible for all its customers, making its payments as flexible as possible and transmitting the peace of mind of clear and transparent coverage in the event of a new episode of Coronavirus.
