Grandvalira, getting 100% of the ski resort up and running

The weather has left Grandvalira with 80 centimetres of new snow

The famous Ski Resort is launching new combined ski passes with Ordino-Arcalís

Thanks to the weather conditions over the past several days, Grandvalira continues to accumulate snow. The precipitation has left 70 to 80 cm of fresh snow, allowing the resort to open virtually 100% of its slopes, with snow depths of between 45 and 180 cm.

The resort is working to prepare all its slopes and facilities, which, weather permitting, are envisaged to be open next weekend. Moreover, if the low temperatures are confirmed, Grandvalira will continue to reinforce its artificial snow production, among other reasons, to create optimal conditions in the highest, most wind-lashed sections of the resort, as well as the black slopes and the snowparks.

Grandvalira anticipates an increase in its snow depths, as the weather forecasts announce the arrival of more snow on Tuesday afternoon and throughout the rest of the week.

From now on, the Grandvalira ski pass will be “Grander” than ever before

As of 1 February, users will be able to ski at both Grandvalira and Ordino-Arcalís on a single ski pass, adding Ordino-Arcalís to the Grandvalira ski supply. By combining the two resorts, skiers are offered an even greater ski product with more terrain and more experiences.

  • Grandvalira, for 4 or more days

With the purchase of a Grandvalira ski pass for 4 days or longer, the user will also enjoy access to Ordino-Arcalís, making all the slopes of both resorts available throughout the validity of the ski pass.

  • The PLUS ski pass

This type of pass allows the user to ski at both Grandvalira and Ordino-Arcalís without having to stop by the ticket booths. Each ski day is automatically charged directly to the associated credit card, and a 15% discount is applied as of the second day of skiing.  This ski pass offers all the enjoyment of a great ski resort, without having to stop into the ticket booths.

Ordino-Arcalís ski resort users can also spend a day skiing at Grandvalira, with the Ordino Arcalís multi-day ski pass.

The addition of Ordino-Arcalís to the Grandvalira supply enables the entire ski area to continue to grow, offering new products and services to skiers and snow lovers. This simply goes to show that Grandvalira remains committed to placing priority on the user experience

Activities for everyone

At Grandvalira, all the ski and snowboard school services, skimo circuits, snowparks, restaurants and adventure activities are fully operative. In the upcoming days, all the adventure activities will continue to be open, including mushing, snow mobile and snowshoe outings, as well as the zip-line. Also, by request, the slopes of Soldeu and El Tarter offer their First Snow, Groomer Ride and paragliding activities. And finally, for another week, Grandvalira will be offering the night-time ski and sledding activity at the La Solana / Tubs slope in Pas de la Casa, which lights up every Thursday and Saturday from 5 to 8 pm, providing the weather conditions are favourable.
